So, it’s been a while since I’ve made a post. But that doesn’t mean my life has slowed down. Much to the contrary, my life has been speeding up. I’ve been working for NASCAR the last couple weeks and have been out of town. So that is good news. Also, our dear friends Quinn and Melinda Collins came to visit us for a couple days last week as well. But now, fresh off a race in Delaware, and with no friends to keep me occupied, I am back in the saddle. Not quite as flamboyant as Aerosmith, but I’m only one feathered boa away!
I wanted to just post some pics that I took for the next couple of days because we did so much touristy, sight-seeing with Quinn and Melinda. Last Thursday, we went to see ground zero and then made a pass through Wall Street on our way to the Statue of Liberty. We also made stops at Trinity Church as well as the other famous pizza place (and my personal favorite) Lombardi’s. We also went to the U2 show at Giants Stadium, but more on that tomorrow.
So without further ado, a look at NYC in all it splendor…
- ground zero from street level
- they won’t let you take pics of the foundation…thought i was getting arrested for this one!
- Trinity Church
- it has a really cool graveyard…
- Alexander Hamilton is buried there…
- And some judge who had a bigger plot than Hamilton…
- inside was spectacular
- NYSE…
- some GW look alikes outside Federal Hall where he was inaugurated…
- Trinity Church from Wall Street…
- the island of Manhattan…
- Statue of Liberty…from the Staten Island Ferry
- Most Famous Pizza Place…
- Awesome…
- Lombardi’s has a lot of famous fans…
